Trauma
The global trauma device market comprises both internal and external fixation devices. Internal fixation devices are used to achieve definitive fixation in fractured bones and include a range of devices such as plates and screws; intramedullary nails; cannulated screws; hip screws; conventional hip screws; and pins, wires, and cables. In contrast, external fixation devices are often used as a temporary means of achieving fracture fixation in cases where severe tissue damage does not allow for immediate surgical treatment.
